Dramatic Smokey Eye Tutorial

This is a great look for a night out or a formal event. Feel free to vary the color scheme to your liking. You can always lighten up the colors to make a great daytime look!

Steps:
  1. start out by using moisturizer, concealer, foundation (optional), and powder.
  2. prime your eyes using an eye primer (I like Urban Decay Primer Potion, $17 Ulta)
  3. Apply a shimmering light grayish-silver eyeshadow all over the lid using an eyeshadow brush (Essence of Beauty, $5, drugstores). I like to use the Physician's Formula Shimmering Strips eyeshadow for blue eyes, third color from the bottom. ($13 drugstores)
  4. Apply a medium gray color into the crease using a crease brush (I like to use the Shimmering Strips, second color from the bottom with the Essence of Beauty Smokey brush $5 drugstores)
  5. Apply a dark bluish-gray color onto the outer corner of your eyes. Use a smokey brush.
  6. Line your tight line and your upper lash line using a very black liner. It can be pencil, creme, or liquid, you choose!
  7. Apply black mascara. I like to use the Covergirl Lash Exact mascara in black. This mascara gives you amazing length and fullness, without clumps!
  8. Highlight the inner corner of your eyes, and your browbone. You can use a matte white pencil (I like NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk, $3.50, Ulta) or a silver shade (NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Pots and Pans)
  9. Apply a semi-sheer bright pink lip gloss. I like to use Covergirl Wetslicks in Strawberry Splash.
  10. You're Done! Enjoy your night out! Please comment on this post, tell me what you think. I love reading your feedback!
