I figured I'd get a head start on back to school videos so I can do a lot for you guys before school starts up again! I am planning on doing at least one fashion video for back to school (probably two) and a few makeup looks that are good for school. Please let me know if you want to see anything else!<div><br /></div><div>Back to school posts will start later this week! :)</div><div><br /></div><div>~Rose</div>Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04011230671763059118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342200912103286941.post-50596467443580985342011-08-05T07:15:00.000-07:002011-08-05T07:19:57.096-07:00I'm Alive!Hey Everyone!<div>I know its been waaaay too long since I last posted. I've been super busy these last few months! I'm going to try to update the blog more often though (so its actually like a real blog). I have some good news too: my friend, Becca, and I have decided to share a YouTube beauty channel. The username is tutucouture214. We'll be vlogging and doing various beauty-related videos! I'm really excited for that :)<br />at the moment, im on a mini beach vacation with Becca, we've been vlogging A LOT so you should be seeing those videos up on the channel towards the end of the week.Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04011230671763059118noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342200912103286941.post-79364456779198528552010-05-23T13:48:00.001-07:002010-05-23T14:03:40.089-07:00LastBlast vs. LashBlast Length<i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'times new roman';">These two products have a few things in common. They are both CoverGirl and they are both of the LashBlast variety. But they have some very distinct differences. </span></i><div><br /></div><div><ol><li><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';">LashBlast (volume): This mascara is absolutely excellent! It came out last year when the LashBlast line started. I have the color black-brown and its perfect for my skin tone and hair, it defines my eyes, but still looks natural. It has a pretty short stem and a <b>really</b> fat brush. It gives tons of volume to your lashes, which i love! Some of the cons of this product is that it can clump (if applied the wrong way) and it does flake. I find that if you comb through your lashes with an eyebrow brush or a spoolie, there are no clumping problems. $8.99 at most drugstores, www.covergirl.com</span></i></li><li><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';">LashBlast Length: This mascara is wonderful, in some different ways than the regular one. It is specifically a lengthening mascara, so it makes your lashes look darker and longer. I also think it makes them look fuller, while still looking natural. It has a really long stem and a skinny brush, which can make application a little less precise. It is virtually clump free and flake free, which is a great plus! It is also <b>water resistant</b> (note: that does not mean water proof! This mascara does come off with soap and water, but if you say, have a water fight or something, it won't run all over your face). $8.99 at most drugstores, www.covergirl.com</span></i></li></ol><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';"><i>Overall, I like both of these mascaras for different purposes and reasons. I find myself reaching for the LashBlast Length a little more often just because it is flake free and water resistant, which makes it the better choice for school. I recommend them both and I think they are both amazing products!</i></span></div></div>Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04011230671763059118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342200912103286941.post-20480553041094180992010-05-10T14:24:00.000-07:002010-05-10T14:38:35.375-07:00Top 5 Favorite Nail Polishes<b>Have you recently been looking into purchasing more nail polish? I tried it out with my NYX Jumbo Pencil because that is the eye shadow that i own that creases the most in the shortest amount of time. Yesterday my friend, Emma came over, and to our surprise, on my doorstep was a package from e.l.f. I, being completely psyched, sprinted inside screaming, Emma joined in too. We went to my room and ripped open the package. Sorting and investigating everything within. Just as an fyi: I purchased a palette and a compact, Emma got a blush, compact, and some brushes (you can check out her blog for more details). You can find all this stuff online at <a href="http://www.eyeslipsface.com/">www.eyeslipsface.com</a>. Pictures at the top.<div><br /><div>I'll start with the compact (Custom Elements: Custom Compact, $1). It's pearly white with 4 pan spaces (for pan eye shadows...mac, milani, elf, etc) inside, as well as a small brush in the middle. I had two eye shadows to put in it, both without names or brands on the bottom of the pans. Not much help to you guys, sorry. Let me just say, this palette is AMAZING!!! Plus, it has a huge mirror inside (well, huge compared to the size of the compact :).</div><div><br /></div><div>Next, I looked at the eye shadow palette (The Beauty Encyclopedia: Eyes, $5). Its about the size of a typical book, and it looks like a book too. Inside are 12 regular eye shadows, all in relatively neutral-y and smokey shades. These eye shadows are absolutely amazing. They are so smooth and pigmented. They are all shimmery except on matte, pure white shade (excellent for highlighting!). This palette also includes 2 creme eyeshadows. One a light shimmery golden color, and the other a shimmering beige-ish color. Both wonderful for a natural look. At the bottom of the palette is a sample size black defining eyeliner (its a sample, but its a pretty good size, nothing tiny, like you'd expect) and a brush/sponge applicator. I love this product, and for only five bucks, there's nothing to lose.</div><div><br /></div><div>Alright, the last product I got wasn't something I purchased. It was an additional deal thing, where if you recommended 5 friends to e.l.f. you'd get a free gift. Of course, I filled out the five email addresses and recieved a free gift. I was expecting some small, cheap "free gift" that was actually an overstock or something (lol, right?!). To my surprise, the gift was a real product, sold on the website for $1. It's called e.l.f. Candy Shop LipGloss, in the flavor/color: melon mayhem. This is a great peachy-pink gloss, and it's really glossy, even though it's a solid gloss :)</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div></div>Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04011230671763059118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342200912103286941.post-8865881041368873742010-03-08T15:52:00.000-08:002010-03-08T16:03:08.210-08:00Kinda Random...Upcoming HAUL!<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;">Hi guys,</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;">Recently, I ordered some products from E.L.F. (<a href="http://www.eyeslipsface.com">www.eyeslipsface.com</a>). I absolutely love this company. I've gotten some products from their before (some lip stuff, nail polish, etc...) and I've been really impressed with the quality, considering almost everything from their main line is ONLY $1!!! Yeah, you read that right, only one dollar for all products on their main line, including brushes :) So, my friend, Emma, and I decided to share an order of cosmetics (there was this amazing offer going on. If you spend $15 or more you get shipping for just $1.98!! I'm pretty sure that this offer is still available, so go check it out. Also, if you visit the website you should subscribe to get great offers. They come out with new ones every 2 weeks or so, its free, fast, and it saves you a lot of money on things like shipping). I bought a palette and a compact and Emma got some brushes, a blush and a compact. I'm really excited about this stuff and I can't wait for it to come! I'll definitely notify you as soon as I get the products. I'm planning on doing a haul/review type thing...does that sound good to you? Please comment, or send me a message (email: rosebeauty17@rocketmail.com; or Twitter: rosebeauty17). I really appreciate your feedback so don't shy away from contacting me!!!<br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;">Thanks! I'm super super excited about all these products. Its a pretty long post, but I seriously love every single one of these items! </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;">(these are in NO ORDER, I love them all equally)</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:georgia;"><b>John Frieda Frizz Ease</b> <b>Shine Mist<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;">- </span></b>This stuff is AMAZING!!! It makes my hair super shiny and silky, without weighing it down. I have medium hair, but it gets greasy really easily. When I first tried this, I was afraid it would make my hair all gross and greasy, BUT IT DIDN'T. You can buy this product at most drugstores, I've seen it at RiteAid and CVS for $.6.50.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:georgia;"><b>Pond's Dry Skin Cream</b>- In the winter, my skin gets really really dry. It flakes and gets really gross. I've tried tons of different moisturizers and none of them moisturized my skin enough, but didn't make it oily. I came across this product at CVS about a week ago and I've been using it twice a day, religiously, since. It moisturizes my skin a ton, gets rid of the flakiness and dryness, but it doesn't make it oily. I can apply my makeup about 60 seconds after I apply. I'm really glad I don't have to wait half an hour for my moisturizer to soak in anymore! Another plus: it's hypoallergenic, great for sensitive skin, won't clog pores, and dermo tested! I bought the small container for $5.50 at my local CV</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:georgia;"><b>Nivea (spf 4)</b>- This product is wonderful! It makes my lips so so soft and smooth. The formula is fast absorbing, and it protects from the sun. One of my favorite things about this is that it doesn't taste like sunscreen at all! It has a pleasant lemony-cream scent. You can purchase this product at drugstores: RiteAid, CVS, Walgreens, etc...I've also seen it at grocery stores. I bought mine for $3.00 at CVS.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span"></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:georgia;"><b>Clean & Clear PersaGel 10</b>- This is an acne spot treatment. I've never really had "acne." I get the occasional pimple (or small breakout) now and then, though. This is a great overnight treatment. I put it on after my shower, sleep, and by morning, my blemish is either greatly reduced, almost gone, or completely gone!! I bought mine at RiteAid ($6.49) but I've seen it at CVS and Walgreens too.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span"></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:georgia;"><b>OrganicWear 100% Natural Origin Pressed Powder</b>- This is an excellent pressed powder! I use the color Translucent medium (which is unusual because I'm usually fair/light). I love this so much because it combines two similar shades for the most natural finish. You can apply this over foundation, moisturizer, or by itself. This powder has an amazing sheen, its not shimmery, but its not completely matte. Be careful though, this isn't a mattifying powder, I use a mattifying powder on my T-zone before applying this. You can get this product at most drugstores. I bought it at CVS for $12.99.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" ;font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><b>EcoTools Blush Brush</b>- I absolutely love this product! I use this brush for blush, bronzer, and powder. The bristles are so so so soft (even though they're cruelty free synthetic) and the handle is smooth and comfortable to hold. I am currently in the process of purchasing all the brushes from this company. I bought my brush at RiteAid for $6.99. I think they're available at most drugstores, but when I checked my CVS they didn't carry them. I'd check online before going to a store.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><b>Covergirl Lash Blast</b>- There's not much to say about this product that hasn't already been said. I use it everyday and I love it to death. I have the color black-brown but I know it comes in brown, black, and I think very black, too. This product volumizes my lashes so much, without clumping! You can get it at any drugstore, mine is from CVS, $7.99.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></b></span></div></div>Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04011230671763059118noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6342200912103286941.post-41401270466472878782010-03-06T10:08:00.000-08:002010-03-07T04:33:54.630-08:00Teeny Tiny Itsy Bitsy Haul<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'courier new';">Hi guys! </span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'courier new';">Today I went shopping. This barely counts as a haul, because I only got one thing, but who cares.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'courier new';">I went to TJMaxx and I purchased a makeup mirror. Before, I just had a little mirror that i propped up on a few tissue boxes. I'm so so so happy with this new mirror, its AMAZING. One side is 1x magnification, and the other is 3x. You can purchase this type of mirror at most retail stores (ex: Target, Walmart, KMart...etc) but they can sometimes be found at discount stores (Ross, Marshalls, TJMaxx...). You probably want to check the discount stores first (hello, sales) before you go to a retailer. I checked Target first (mistake) and almost bought a $30.00 mirror (their cheapest option) but luckily I decided to check TJMaxx before I spent a ton of money. I got mine for only $14.99! </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'courier new';">I hope y'all are having a great day!
